A Walk-through of the Two Most Popular and Easy-to-Implement Smarter Lunchrooms “No Time to Train” Workshops for Lunchroom Staff

This webinar starts with a brief overview of the Smarter Lunchrooms “No Time to Train” workshop series for lunchroom staff, followed by a walk-through of two of the most popular and easy-to-implement workshops: “Creating Catchy Food Names” and “Positive Communication Cues”. USDA Professional Standards learning codes and the Smarter Lunchrooms Professional Standards Supplement are referenced.

Learning Objectives: 

After attending/watching, participants will be able to: 

  • Lead the Smarter Lunchrooms No Time to Train workshops “Give Foods Catchy Names” and “Positive Communication Cues” for lunchroom service staff
  • Link these workshops to the USDA Professional Standards for School Nutrition Professionals, access the teaching materials and script (online or in book form), and help SFS leaders report the training time for workers (one 15 min. block per workshop).
