Drew Hanks is an assistant professor of consumer sciences in the Department of Human Sciences at Ohio State University. He is also a member of Ohio State University’s Food Innovation Center and Institute for Population Research. Drew was formerly a postdoctoral associate in the Cornell Center for Behavioral Economics in Child Nutrition Programs where he applied his expertise in behavioral economics and research. Drew has been highly involved in several school lunch related research projects where he helps to execute the studies, analyzes data, and drafts and disseminates findings. He also developed the Quarter Waste Method used to measure plate waste in school cafeterias.
Drew received his PhD. in Economics and his MS in Statistics from Washington State University and received his BA in Economics from Brigham Young University.
