Ginny Hinton is the Family and Consumer Sciences Extension Agent in Santa Rosa County, Florida. She has been with the University of Florida/IFAS Extension since May 14, 2010.
- Ginny has a master’s degree in Public Health with a dual emphasis in Health Education/Maternal & Child Health from the University of South Florida.
- She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of West Florida in 1987.
Ginny’s program areas of emphasis are nutrition, food safety, food preservation, family well-being, financial education and injury prevention with a focus on child passenger safety. She coordinates the Family Nutrition Program (FNP), a SNAP-Ed funded program designed to educate families and improve their nutritional outcomes. FNP in Santa Rosa County is based primarily in local elementary and pre-schools with additional services to older child and adult populations.
